Black Pepper Essential Oil Black Pepper (Piper nigrum) has a pungent, crisp aroma that is comforting and energizing. It is supportive of the digestive system and is useful topically for soothing muscle discomfort following exercise. Black pepper may also be used to enhance the flavor of foods. Pepper has an approximate ORAC of 796,635 (TE/L). TE/L is expressed as micromole Trolox equivalent per liter. Black Pepper was traditionally used to increase endurance and for its support of normal inflammatory systems.** How to use: Diffuse for aromatherapy, or take as a dietary supplement. Dilute with a carrier oil to apply topically. When using as a supplement, dilute one drop in 4 fl. oz. of liquid such as soy or rice milk. Possible skin sensitivity.
